Integrated Mail Stack
We have most of the bits needed for a wide variety of mail server use cases in Main now. What we lack is an effective way to deliver both a set of packages and package configurations for various mail server use cases. Proposed use cases to support for Jaunty:
1. All in one small domain stack (Postfix, Dovecot, Amavisd-New, Spamassassin, Clamav, backup solution)
2. Departmental mail store (Postfix, Dovecot, Amavisd-New, Spamassassin, Clamav, LDAP, backup solution)
3. Lightweight MX front end (Postfix, LDAP)
4. "Spam firewall" MX front end (Postfix, Amavisd-New, Spamassassin, Clamav, LDAP)
Easy RBL configuration would need to be supported for all Internet facing configurations. The "Spam firewall" front end would need to be easily integrated with MS Exchange for proper recipient validation. Need to support mail box backups on servers that hold mail. Need to decide what solution and how to set it up.
The goal is to deliver working, useful configurations, but some additional tweaking would almost always be required.

Integration scripts for SMTP filters and SMTP policy servers are in the Postfix package from Intrepid. Need a similar script for adding RBLs. With that, it should be possible to ship a script with the amavisd-new package that could configure postfix, amavisd-new, clamav, and spamassassin.
Need to develop a scheme for mailbox backup.
