Why the file indexing has so aggressive defaults ?
Maybe I'm wrong, and the file indexing settings depend on the system that you boot ubunu on (like compiz-fusion),but if they are the same for all users I think that they need some changes. I mean if someone with not so great pc want to install gusty this feature will decrease the performance and maybe he will go back to windows. I don't thing that file indexing should come with: "use additional memory for faster indexing" and the slider for the indexing speed put on fastest. Can It be put in the installer like a question ? Something like - "Do you want file indexing? - This is ......blah blah (explaining what it does)..." And if the user say "yes" put some default settings, but don't forget for the advanced tab from where the user can make them like he wants.
