Improve TabletPC usability
Tablet PC's are growing in popularity among business users as well as University students. They allow computerized notetaking in places where laptops are seen as inappropriate. However, currently they are confined to the Windows platform. Fortunately, only a few additions would need to be made to Ubuntu to allow for a major increase in usability:
* Include "SOK" from your Google Summer of Code Project.
> Make it recognize when a text box is selected and have it
pop up automatically
> Make it easy to create user defined keyboard layouts
* Create tools that simplify screen rotation
> Allow the user to assign screen rotation to a custom
button.
* Allow for easy assignment of functions to specialty keys on
tablets.
* Include Xournal in the repositories
With just these four steps, Ubuntu would be extremely more Tablet PC friendly.
** Could someone change the title to tabletpc-spec? Thanks!
