Replace the current gstreamer backend esound with something better

Registered by Martin Pitt

Breezy sets up and uses esound for all Gnome-related sound output. esound provides a sound card independent mixing daemon. However, users report many bugs in esound that do not happen when using ALSA directly. In addition, esound has a high latency which makes it unsuitable for video playback.

2006-01-03: gstreamer and esound changes completed; the only thing that is missing is the change to libgnome to not use esd directly for sound events; since that is an upstream problem, I remove the estimated days

2006-01-05: Regarded as implemented from our side.
