gnome-system-monitor shortcut for when x-server crash

Registered by ibob63

Hi,

Ubuntu rarely stalls or crashes but when it does there isn't an easy closing the offending program and then saving your other work. I have been reduced to pressing CRTL-ALT-BACKSPACE which simple restarts everything losing emails, browser windows documents... everything.

This seems strange to me, as I moved from Windows and really miss the CRTL-ALT-DELETE task manager,
Having read this tutorial http://technowizah.com/2006/11/debian-how-to-task-manager-xp-style_02.html

This should be done as standard when installing gnome-system-monitor and become a standard way of using the system monitor.

Thanks,

James

Ditto. People coming from a Windows background will probably be pretty shocked when they hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and their computer just automatically starts rebooting.
