package and use gnome-mount
gnome-mount is a relatively new addition to the Utopia stack. It provides users with a nice GUI to configure mount options, consistently handle encrypted devices, and so on. Thus it replaces the clumsy HAL fdi policies for mount options and can also replace the hideous pmount hacks in g-v-m and pmount with something that actually works smoothly.

2006-12-12 pitti: implemented except for removing the Gnome password dialog so that it becomes suitable for Xubuntu; since moving this to GTK is an upstream task, and it won't happen very soon, I set this to blocked. If some Xubuntu hacker feels like working on that, go ahead, of course.
2006-12-12 janimo: I have a patch which uses a drop-in copy of GnomePasswordDialog
instead of libgnomeui and contacted David Zeuthen how he feels about this hack. In the likely event that he won't hear about it, I hope we can add it to debian/patches in our package. Some dependencies still remain as the properties GUI which is a nautilus plugin
really needs them and it is in the same .deb.
pitti, 2007-01-02: split out XFCE part to gnome-mount-xubuntu so that this spec can become implemented.
