Gnome-based Skype client

Registered by Gustavo Veloso

As official Skype for Linux client is, for almost a year, in version 2.2 (BETA) and Skype launched its effort to be more "pluggable" with external apps with SkypeKit for Desktop and for Embedded, which is intended to add native Skype functionality directly into partner applications we can lead a blueprint to FULLY integrate Skype features (chat, voice and video calls) to Empathy without workarounds and without official client dependency.

Currently the SkypeKit program addresses other companies, not individuals. It's why Canonical can lead this effort better than others ;)
