Extra function keys configuration with keyTouch

I think keyTouch should be used in Ubuntu for configuring extra function keys (like multimedia keys) on a keyboard. A lot of users have extra function keys on their keyboard. Only a few of these keys are working by default under Ubuntu. With keyTouch the user can easily get all extra function keys working. KeyTouch can also be used for configuring these extra function keys on laptops.
So why do I think we should do this? Well it's very simple: keyTouch adds hardware support to Ubuntu, that isn't there at the moment.
