GStreamer 1.0, Novacut, and 12.04 LTS

GStreamer 1.0 should be released by the end of the year. Importantly, GStreamer 1.0 works properly with PyGI, improves video editing performance, and improves performance on ARM.
Being an LTS, I assume GStreamer 1.0 wont be the default in 12.04. But as it's parallel installable with 0.10, it could be included with relatively low risk. For Novacut, it would perhaps be best if GStreamer 1.0 is *not* included in 12.04 as then we can more easily make our minimum platform 12.04 plus GStreamer 1.0 and Novacut from our PPA (or say the partner repo).
The LTS is important for Novacut as there is a serious opportunity to replace FCP as the Hollywood cutting solution of choice.
