Kubuntu Alternate ISO Needed?

Registered by Scott Kitterman

The Live CD installer has gained considerable capability over the last few cycles. Are the use cases for the alternate CD still broad enough to merit the test overhead of the alternate CD? Discuss.

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/foundations-o-ubiquity-lvm-luks - if it gets implemented - would cure some of the significant limitations of the Live CD relative to DI.

[kubuntu-members] Implement redesigned bits of installer in Kubuntu: POSTPONED
[kubuntu-members] Check to see if wifi support will be in netinst/Ubuntu mini this cycle: POSTPONED

Plan:
 - Keep alternate until lvm/luks is in Ubiquity, but only daily
 - Direct RAID or local archive mirror users to DVD or Server CD
 - For starters, preinstalled on arm

Deferred to P since foundations-o-ubiquity-lvm-luks was deferred.
