Xorg Intel video driver: Improve Upstreaming Process
Getting a bug upstream is the #1 most reliable way to get a fix for it. However, freshly reported X bugs rarely have enough information or analysis in place to warrant sending it upstream. This session focuses on how we can correct this situation:
* Improve process to collect info that makes upstreaming easy
* Enhance bug reporting howtos for Ubuntu
+ http://
* Screenshots & videos for identifying commonly encountered problems
* Automated tools for guiding reporters and improving reports
+ xorg apport hook
* Reporter and triager training opportunities
+ What is most effective venue for recruiting triagers and training reporters?

Whiteboard
2009-06-01 pitti: Is this purely process (thus informational) or does this need code changes, too? (e. g. in apport)
2009-06-01 bryce: Unfortunately this session never made it onto the UDS agenda so was not discussed, and no plans for improving the process were formulated. So I guess we can close this as obsolete.
