UbuntuOne photo sync/sharing service
Backend utilizes the U1 service for storage of photos, with both web and desktop application frontends. F-spot can be modified to automatically sync photos and photo metadata to the cloud using ubuntuone. This gives the user a simple to use interface with the common tasks involved with managing your photo library with the added convience of online storage of your library. When you download your photos from the camera, they automatically sync to the cloud.
Social integration could be very cool as well, when you want to share photos just tag them appropriately and they are shared via a web gallery as well as available to other f-spot users. You could also select your friends from inside of f-spot and browse their photos without using a browser. Including comments from friends on your photos, with perhaps even indicator applet integration.
This is a mockup of f-spot with a selector for viewing your friends photos.
