Add support for Diaspora in Indicator Applet

Registered by Kenny Strawn

I'm sure you've heard of an FOSS social network called Diaspora: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/syndicated-linux-news-67/lxer-source-code-released-for-diaspora-an-open-source-distributed-alternative-to-facebook-832775/

It was created by a person mad at Facebook's privacy policy and can be hosted from your own computer, on top of its source code being in the public domain.

I would really like it if Ubuntu's Indicator Applet would support Diaspora and integrate with a Diaspora account like it integrates with the other proprietary social networks.

Whiteboard

In Ubuntu Natty Narwhal or later is where I would expect this. Of course, GNOME 3.0 will break Indicator Applet anyway, so the feature will have to be put into GNOME Shell, not Indicator Applet.

I would expect Indicator Applet by the time Natty is released to be able to sync with your Diaspora seed and for Gwibber to be able to integrate with this functionality.
