Your feedback counts: the Snappy onboarding experience

Registered by Daniel Holbach

In this session we want your feedback on your Snappy and Snapcraft onboarding experience:
 - How were you welcomed into the world of Snappy? Was the documentation sufficient? Were you able to find your way around?
 - We are planning some changes to the documentation and would like to present them and get feedback.
 - If you are a device builder, we would specifically like to get your input as well, so we can improve our device builder documentation.

Whiteboard

feedback from IRC:
 - docs are out of date
 - integration tests for docs
 - snappy is confusing and new
   - add context information: explain what snappy is
 - googling for 'snapcraft' brings up 'minecraft'
 - not sure how to get kernel modules into snaps
 - people want to use their raspberry pi
   - "I like that. I want my rpi to be my kodi box."
   - * ogra_ wants his rpi to steer his heating and solar power system
   - jtag debugger and i2c sniffer
   - garage door open detector/alarm
   - I would like to replace the openwrt on my router with ubuntu
 - generally more examples, something more in-depth than "hello world"

device builders
 - explain which frameworks exist, which are in the works
 - explain which kernel changes (modules, snap types) exist
 - explain services
 - explain packaging of apps
 - list examples of hardware use (sensors, gpio, ...)
 - explain how to use snapcraft on raspi (lxd - https://linuxcontainers.org/lxd/getting-started-cli/ ...)
 - ... and how to get stuff out of the LXD

new docs sections
