Registered by Leann Ogasawara

This is a general Ubuntu kernel catch all session. We'll discuss things such as:

* 14.04 kernel version target
* 14.04 delta review
 * raid4-5 what to do about it
* 14.04 kernel testing (eg. 14.04 HWE stack in Precise)
* 14.04 kernel config requests
 * Bug #1247784: CONFIG_RT2800USB_RT3573 = m/y
 * Bug #1248270: CONFIG_EXT[23]=n
 * CONFIG_OABI_COMPAT = n (should no longer be needed)
* Necessary to hold a kernel session every vUDS?

[apw] initial configuration for 3.13 for ppc64el: DONE
[apw] review Hyper-V VM generator 2 driver/patch/config options: INPROGRESS
[leannogasawara] Email upstream stable re: 3.13 selection for Trusty: DONE
[leannogasawara] Announce kernel version and configs near kernel freeze: DONE
[leannogasawara] Update https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ABIPackages for Tursty: DONE
[colin-king] Refer to LP:1248270. Benchmark disabling CONFIG_EXT2_FS and CONFIG_EXT3_FS in favor of fallback to ext4. Bug claims ext4 can support those use cases but more efficiently. We want concrete evidence this is true.: DONE
[colin-king] Refer to LP:743688. Benchmark TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE_ALWAYS vs CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE_MADVISE. Currently we have CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE_MADVISE=y, but request is to turn that off and use TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE_ALWAYS=y instead. Again, we want evidence this is a reasonable decision: DONE
[leannogasawara] investigate official reference platform list for ubuntu-touch: DONE
[apw] LP:1247784: please enable CONFIG_RT2800USB_RT3573 in kernel 3.12: DONE
