Compiz WM should be integrated into Gnome
Compiz is a choice of many current Ubuntu Dapper users. Seeing Compiz being easily installable[1], perhaps as an option in the Ubiquity installer, as well as seeing it integrated into the theme manager[2], could bring some some of that edge to edgy.
1) Currently, using Compiz instead of Metacity requires a lot of manual setup, ugly hacks and loading two window managers instead of one (Metacity has to be replaced after it's loaded). By making Compiz equal to Metacity, these flaws could be eliminated and the desktop experience improved.
2) Integrating Compiz into the theme manager would mean that a selection of Compiz Gnome decorator window borders would appear in the Window Border tab instead of the empty space that appears in Theme Manager in Dapper.
