Expand on the clipboard

The current clipboard system works, mostly, but needs some improvement.

* Non-text format support (i.e. the ability to copy images from firefox to openoffice)
* Multiple clipboard items. This is already offered in KDE through Klipper.
* Modify all officialy supported apps to use the clipboard properly. Some programs (like emacs or vim) use their own seperate clipboard system that does not integrate with the rest of the OS.

 * 2007-08-17 bryce: This proposal needs to be fleshed out into a spec in wiki. Some things to do include researching the clipboard specs at freedesktop.org to gather ideas on what could/should be done; identify specific features to promote from klipper or other window-manager level clipboards to Xorg's clipboard; discuss with Xorg to see if they have future plans for changes/enhancements to clipboard system.
