Citrix Client packaged up for Multiverse

Registered by Ben Moretti

The Citrix client is extremely useful for accessing corporate information systems from Ubuntu. It provides a very good thin client environment. Installation of it currently involves a number of steps to convert the Citrix supplied RPM file to a DEB file via alien, installation of dependencies and manual addition of MIME type information for Epiphany.

The whole Citrix client should be packaged up with dependencies and all steps included so it is fully integrated with Ubuntu and then placed in the Multiverse repository.

We should also liaise with Citrix to publish our packaged version of Citrix to or from their site.

Whiteboard

This is just at the conceptual stage currently.

Some of the changes to the default Citrix ICA Client installation mentioned in http://codtech.com/wiki/index.php/Citrix_ICA_Client_on_Ubuntu should be analysed. (This link appears dead? Needs fixing? We could use the wayback machine to grab what it said previously...)
