Bug report volume discussion

Registered by Henrik Nilsen Omma

An open discussion about the growing volume of bugs in Ubuntu. After the 7.10 release we are now at nearly 35.000 open bugs, many of which are in the New state. In this brainstorming discussion we take a look how the reporting volume is likely to evolve over the next 1-2 years and whether we have the tools and procedures to deal responsibly with that.

In this discussion we encourage the involved parties to put their ideas forward for how we can position ourselves to make the best use of bug reports for the benefits of both developers and users.
