Applications executing as root should launch browsers as regular user

The link to homepage (in Info or About menu) of a root application (such as GParted) should not launch a root browser session. This could be a security issue. I would like to see a setting for automatically revoking root privileges of some applications--possibly through the link handler responsible for launching the browser,(xdg-open or the like) remote help session, etc, etc
