Faster bootup for jaunty

I think it is about time to get Ubuntu jaunty a better boot up.
I propose two things, which are already used in MacOS X and I like most.
Inmediately graphic booting comes up. I think the X-Server should be started first (possible?)
Then, maybe we use something similar like WARP2! or what Mac does, only start what the user really needs.
