TCOS, another thin client arquitecture without NFS

Registered by mariodebian

TCOS is a new thin client implementation that creates boot images (based on initramfs-tools like casper) and don't need NFS and not need complete debootstrap system.

The boot images are small enough to boot with 32-40 Mb with PXE, floppy, cdrom or hard-disk (we have small installer).

We have a front-end (pygtk) for every tool: http://cls-tcos.forja.rediris.es/docs/tcos-images/english/

Server and thin client are connected with a XMLRPC server (not SSH) and can control any thin client feature in real time (like volume levels or resolution without rebooting)
