Better Kubuntu Support

Registered by Alex M. Lowe on 2007-09-01

Often, Kubuntu users find ourselves a release (sometimes 2) behind in cool things that have been added to Ubuntu, because the Gtk version is developed first.
However, most of these applications need no adjustment to run in KDE (although they're Gtk apps).
We should either include Gtk and all of these apps in Kubuntu (allowing for the Qt version to be a release or two behind - note that a Qt version is still expected), or we should make sure that Qt versions are written at the same time as the Gtk version.
