Automatic run of dpkg --configure -a in case of package corruption

It can often happen that during the configuration of a package the process is interrupted, making the package manager unusable until the user manually runs a "sudo dpkg --configure -a" from a terminal window. I think that this process could be automated running at boot or, even better, run only when a broken instance of dpkg is detected. The first case is perhaps the easier to implement and the most faulty-proof, even if it costs a pair of seconds of boot-time. To be noted that dpkg --configure -a, if everything is ok, doesn't do anything, so it is safe to run it even if it is not necessary. The second case could be implemented with a trigger set at the beginning and at the end of a dpkg instance.
