Show fast user switch only when needed.

When a system is only one user, why do I need to see the user switcher. Could we have ubuntu check if there is more than one "logginable" user so that the it is only used when needed? This is something I think goes right along with the simple gnome setup. If it is not needed you don't have to display it. :D
As with the link... I am not the only one that feels this way.
