Audio compatability for USB Audio

Hello, I think that better support for USB Audio is needed. I currently have a Bose Companion 5 system, which does not require software to work. But it does not work with Ubuntu, but it does work with my Windows Vista. I am not sure what the problem is but I do know that it is a problem that needs to be fixed.
