Make aptitude understand programm names and propose the packages

Trying to install a package from the console you mostly have to search or guess the package name.
When trying to run an app that is not installed ubuntu now reports what packages would provide that app. The same could be added to aptitude so that
   aptitude install latex
tells you there is no package by that name but tetex-bin contains it. Asking if you want to install tetex-base instead would be even better.
