When we first started the Ubuntu Core Apps project [1] to provide a set of essential apps for Ubuntu Touch, e-mail was one of the applications on the list. During the course of the project priorities changed, meaning that e-mail was drop from the 13.10 goals.
We'd like to resume development of the app post-13.10 and start a discussion about the functional specifications and how we can leverage the e-mail backend Trojita [2] already provides with an Ubuntu Touch QML frontend.
