So reading the Extended Edid spec on vesa.org

It is clear that ddprobes is just out dated (way way way outdated). Reading the code
it looks like ddprobes only supports EDID 1.0 ...well in version 1.3 there have been
many additions. Page 20 clearly shows a better way to identify wheater you have
an LCD or not
by detereming if it is Fixed Pixed Format or not. So the digital identifier
currently in ddprobes is not
a good identified to tell if you have an LCD screen or not.
