  * Merge from debian unstable, remaining changes:
    - debian/rules: Remove configure and autoconf from clean target,
      and don't bail on autotools failing.
    - Update maintainer field as per spec.

  * Add versioned shlib to help upgrade to release post -6 (which was buggy).
    Closes: #436917
