pmount does create required mount points if necessary; however, CD-ROMs are in
/etc/fstab, thus pmount behaves exactly like mount (which does not create
directories).

Indeed, this seems to be the very same bug. Colin, since this is an installer
bug, can you please take a look at it? Thanks!
