Actually, this would be more of a partman-multipath issue, but it seems to me like it would anyway be fixed by partman-multipath 4ubuntu0.1; but you'll only find this version number from within the installer; looking at /var/lib/
Seeing as we didn't make any additional changes which would solve this similar problem from the *installed system*; I think we probably in fact still have some work to do here in parted to stop making 'p' partitions at all.
