Okay, tested 0.122ubuntu8.5 from xenial-proposed, and it fixes the issue for my use-case.

But I'm not changing verification-needed to verification-done yet as I don't know if it fixes the use case of the original reporter.

@scotte - can you please confirm whether this fixes things for you?
