The Ubuntu Desktop Course contains screenshots and text written for Ubuntu 7.10. As new software is added to Ubuntu 8.10 and the GUI changes, it is necessary to update parts of the Ubuntu Desktop Course. The goal of this specification is to have a Ubuntu Desktop Course that is based on Ubuntu 8.10. Due to time/resource constraints we are skipping 8.04 and moving directly to the 8.10 release. Our goal is to have an update released on 15 December 2008.
