Store localized strings in simpler files

Currently, a slide's entire HTML file is duplicated and new strings inserted for each locale. All the extra boilerplate adds up in an ugly way. (Current weight of the Ubuntu version 1.2 MB).
Investigate using JSON, YAML or some other lightweight Javascript-friendly format, to store localized strings.
