Selenium Server for running Web Acceptance Tests

Registered by Benjamin Eidelman

The idea is to have a VM to remotely run Web Acceptance Tools thru the Selenium Remote Control Server.

http://oshyn.com/_blog/Software_Development/post/Selenium-Test-Suite-Ubuntu/

It should have:
- Modern browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera) (If posible it would be nice to have last 3 versions of each)
- Most browser plugings, java, flash, silverlight
- a Firefox profile optimized for automated tests (eg: disable all prompt dialogs)
- Java SE runtime
- Selenium RC standalone server (it's provided as a java jar) running on default port (4444), http://seleniumhq.org/download/
- xvfb, a virtual display to run tests on a real web browser without loading a GUI.
- xwd, to take screenshots of xvfb virtual display
