Gitorious is a full featured GitHub-style web-based version control server solution that works with git. Gitorious hosts git repos, has wiki functionality and allows users to easily manage keys, and create and remove repositories. This would be the ideal solution for small companies that want to host private git repositories on their local network. Gitorious is a a significant improvement over gitosis, the current Turnkey Linux git appliance. Gitosis is fragile and can easily fail catastrophically when adding new users or creating new repos.
