Create a Digital Asset Management Appliance (DAM) Razuna

Registered by Randall Green

Seems like a big "hole" in appliance type is in a Digital Asset Management (DAM) server. Razuna (http://razuna.org/) is an excellent choice but could be a pain to install from scratch. Perfect Turnkey appliance candidate in my opinion...

Whiteboard

Good idea and Razuna looks pretty nice!
A quick glance over their documentation suggests that this could actually be pretty easy to set up. Although which would be best for a TKL appliance is possibly debatable.
-In one sense the easiest would be to install the Razuna Stand-alone Server on TKL Core - this package takes care of everything (including Tomcat and a DB) except JDK. The only shortcoming of this would be that it may take a little work to get the first boot scripts working nicely.
- Using MySQL for the DB backend may make the firstboot stuff easier (ie use TKL MySQL appliance as base with Razuna Stand-alone Server). MySQL config instructions here: http://wiki.razuna.com/display/ecp/MySQL with other MySQL tweaks documented here: http://wiki.razuna.com/display/ecp/3.+Recommended+MySQL+settings
- Possibly the best option for end user experience and TKL library consistency would be to use the TKL Tomcat appliance, install MySQL and phpMySQL and install the Razuna WAR/EAR package. Obviously this will be the most complex and tricky way to go.
