TripleO template for deploying Veritas HyperScale
Veritas HyperScale storage solution needs to be deployed using tripleo. This blueprint proposes a template to handle this.
The deployment of HyperScale boradly consists of the following tasks:
1. Install and configure a Horizon plugin for HyperScale to manage and monitor HyperScale storage usage and charateristics
2. Install and configure a local repository for HyperScale compute and dataplane packages
3. Install and configure the HyperScale OpenStack service which provides an API to access HyperScale functionality
Today this is implemented as a set of custom deployment scripts. The proposed template will resuse some of these scripts to accomplish the above mentioned tasks. Some of the HyperScale packages (e.g. HyperScale Horizon plugin) will be downloaded and installed through public yum repositories. Other packages containing proprietary Veritas code will need to be downloaded separately from Veritas' website and provided as an input to the template.
