Hybrid VNFs across OpenStack and Kubernetes VIMs
Service Function Chaining (SFC) provides the ability to define an ordered list of network services (e.g., firewalls or load balancers), and then these services are stitched together to create a service chain. In Tacker, TOSCA-based VNFFG can only define the service chain in a VM-based VIM like OpenStack or in a container-based VIM like Kubernetes. This spec is to implement the SFC support for mixed type VNFs (VM and container) to create the service chain.
