Login timing think-aloud lab study

Registered by Steve Dodier-Lazaro

Study design:
Invite participants to perform real-world Web tasks in real-world settings (envt+interaction modality)
Ask them to use a think-aloud protocol and tell us what they're about to do, BUT tell them we will sometimes use the word "faster" to switch back to "normal" interaction and "slower" to switch back to think-aloud.

RQ1: how long do they take to log in?
We train them a little bit, then make them use the website, and "fast" them when they say "I'm now going to log in". Then we can start timing them (so we can calculate the exact time to log in).

RQ2: how rationalised is the process of logging in in website use?
We can observe how often users forget to think aloud that they're going to log in, relatively to the amount of detail they provide.
