Display Status Using Indicator Applet

With deprecation of the Notification Area in coming versions of Ubuntu/Unity there is a need to get the connection status displayed not only by GtkStatusIcon but also by indicator applet. This involves major code changes to make sure status is still shown in environments where there is no running indicator applet.

Application Indicator usage is implemented in 0.2.6 with a workaround for custom icons from file (see bug #668375). Stream2ip can now also be run on Unity from Natty 11.04. For Ubuntu versions < 10.10 and in other distributions GtkStatusIcon will continue to be used.
