Refraction
Refraction and extinction effects should be added, at least with a factor "extinction coeff. k" that can be set via GUI panels.
For extinction, deltaMag=k*Airmass as simplest formula.
Refraction depends on altitude, observer height, temperature, pressure.
Of course, only when atmospheric effects are "on".

I disagree. Landscape photos are already refracted, and without notion of horizon or feature distance, it does not make sense to apply "winter refraction" on a "summer photo-horizon". Else, you need a full 3D terrain renderer. Also, terrestrial refraction is very dependent on low-atmosphere layering. The current "average/standard model" is more than you can find elsewhere. What is still missing (0.11) is working absorption, however. Help welcome! -- Georg.
