Data Node High Availability
Registered by
Jim Mlodgenski
Currently, if a data node fails for any reason, the entire cluster is down. With Streaming Replication and Hot Standby in PostgreSQL 9.0, Stado can now rely on the database to replicate its data. The coordinator needs to be aware of the master server and its replicas so that it can fail over to a replica in the event of a failure of the master.
