Rewrite lisbspud core

Some design decisions in the core libspud have shown to be suboptimal:
- the singleton object for the xml file inhibits using libspud to work on multiple files concurrently
- the xml path specification does not follow the xpath convention
These should be fixed, which essentially makes a rewrite of libspud core necessary.
