User Groups (Backend)

Registered by Cael Kay-Jackson

User groups collect users together into an organizational group. Groups may contain sub-groups as for example, a university group may contain sub-groups for staff, students and alumni. Member of these sub-groups will be automatically associated with their university (e.g. branding).

Groups can be assigned as custodians of categories, for instance, <university>/<course>/<module>.

Groups will be able to build collective karma and may have an SQ value assigned, providing some element of friendly competition.

Trusted groups will be able to verify the solutions for questions, which can be used as a weighting measure in serving questions in various forms (books, question sets, etc.).

Whiteboard

Initial implementation complete. Remaining items to complete are 'polish' and can be done for the corresponding milestone. (We will also want to look at some usability aspects of it, particularly the methods of performing certain actions and the layout of the tasks and subtasks).
