Based on PAM, Simplicity Authentication Modules will allow you to define a variety of auth modules to be used to secure your application.
* User registration modules - these modules provide access to user lists, for example XML, Database, LDAP etc.
* Authentication method modules - these modules provide the mecanism for authentication, ie. AJAX, HTTP, Form, etc.
