Automatically crop scanned picture
After clicking the "crop"-tool in SimpleScan, it should try to autocrop the scanned documents or pictures. Then the user could adjust the crop-area manually.

In order to consolidate Simple Scan information, this has been copied to a relevant bug report and will be discussed there.
imagemagick can do this with -trim
Why not add a checkbox to the UI, so that all documents can be instantly autocropped on scan, and pipe image through to ImageMagick to do the hard work.
This is a very useful feature of scanning software for ADF scanners which are used a lot for receipts. I have a ScanSnap S300 - this works great in Simple Scan - but the bundled windows software will autocrop my receipts so I don't have to resize each one manually. Useful when I'm scanning 100+...
