I have merged the trunk into the pexsi branch.
As shown in the "work items", I still need to check that the NCDF_4 option works well.
Regarding the I/O, I have kept for now two coexisting frameworks: the new code in m_iodm.F90 by Nick, and the old one in m_matio and m_iodm.F (renamed m_iodm_old.F) by AG.
