Provide Disaster Recovery Documentation

Searchlight may encounter a number of scenarios impacting service. We need to provide a simple guide, maybe FAQ's on what to do.

Part of my infrastructure has gone down and I no longer want things from it to be served by searchlight
How do I remove these from the index? -
If it is a re-indexing, can I choose to tell Searchlight to immediately switch indexes (rather than keep new and old index until end of re-indexing)?
When that infrastructure comes back online, how do I get it back up to date? (re-index is the answer, I think)

How do we understand the status of any given resource type (being initially indexed, is indexed, disabled, etc)?
When the service crashes, how does Searchlight get notified to switch the status to “off”? Do we need a blueprint for SearchLight to handle unexpected crashes of the services?

How do we monitor searchlight (Note: we need to look at Monasca)?
